We've recently made some major updates, making Springpad way more useful on your Android phone or tablet.

The new app lets you use Springpad however it works for you - create private notebooks, work on notebooks with family and teams, or share your notebooks with your friends.  Learn more about the new Springpad.

Our widgets got a facelift! The Springpad Android app comes with three homescreen widgets for your phone or tablet:

• Small: A customizable quick-add menu
• Large: Includes quick-add, plus a preview of your items based on your custom selection
• List: Presents a list view of your custom-filtered items directly from your homescreen

And with our most recent update, these fully-customizable widgets have been improved based on user input.

One of the easiest ways to save new things to Springpad is to “Share” them from other Android apps.

Now, when you share from other apps to Springpad, you can edit the title and description, add tags, set a destination notebook and attach media from the original page or app.

Use "Sharing" to save bookmarks, recipes, products and more!

With the new Springpad, you can invite other Springpad users to work on your notebooks with you!  

This a a great feature for managing household lists and projects, and sharing ideas with school groups and co-workers.

• Improved app security with PIN: To make your data even safer, you now have to enter your PIN to access the app even when entering via a widget or a homescreen shortcut.  And, the app will now lock on its own after 5 minutes of being idle.
• Zoom in on your photos: Once you save a photo to Springpad, you can reference it later and zoom in to see the up-close details. Snap away!
• New, improved navigation: We've added a new "quick nav" section of the app that lets you quickly jump between notebooks, in addition to jumping directly into the My Notebooks screen, the new Explore section and the Settings screen.
• Choose how you want to view your notebooks: With the redesigned My Notebooks page, you can choose to view your notebook as either Full or Compact display.

Along with the update to the mobile apps, Springpad.com also got a major update!
